Move Your DNA, by Katy Bowman [brief]

A book that made me want to sleep on the floor.

I found the title of this book really offputting, because it seemed (and still seems!) nonsensical to me. But the book itself... doesn't mention DNA?, it makes the much more reasonable claim that your body reacts to the loads put on it; that paadded/comfortable Western lives make the loads on our bodies too small and too self-similar all the time, instead of varying throughout the day; that isolated exercises don't fix this, because they also concentrate the loads in repetitive ways;  and that you should try to move your body more throughout the day, in varying ways, putting different/differing (but natural and whole-body) stresses on your body, keep all your joints moving, that kind of thing.

Good book! Recommend it, though I think only the first ~3 chapters are necessary, and the whole thing could have been much shorter.
